Regular readers would be familiar how I carry my Nendoroids around; in this container. I have only two, this one and another one with a smaller diameter.
With the growing population of Nendos, there is a need to expand the carrier fleet.
During the cleaning of my room for OTACOOL. I found the most important part to make the carrier, which was the caps.
The carriers are basically cylindrical tubes with two opening at the each end.
The Nendoroids sit inside for maximum safety when they are brought outdoors.
But in order to build more carriers, I had to cut the tubes, which were originally use to keep posters.
A few moons ago, I when I made the first batch carriers, I cut out parts from the original tubes. As such, it left some ugly ‘ears’.
When Shana assistance, we chop off the ‘ears!
Glue is then applied to the overlapping ‘ears’
Next, when everything ready, we mark out the desired height to be sawed off. I used the original carrier for easy measurement.
Start sawing, not Kyoka, but along the line.
Sawing is not easy. The cardboard is very very hard. Leaves behind a lot of dust!
Once that was done, attach the cap and the carrier was done!
After making 2 more Nendo carriers, I used a tube with smaller diameter to make one for Drossel.
This time I did not have a guide to follow, so I had to place Drossel beside it to find the nice height, and after that, back to the sawing block.
Obviously ojou-sama was a great help while I was sawing….
After sawing, Drossel comes for an inspection.

And here you go, the were tubes originally of this height. The one on the right has been chopped off to make the 3 carriers.

Oh, my poor daughters!
And at the end of the day, Kagamin helps with the cleaning up of the project!
So now I have 4 Nendoroid carriers and 1 Figma carrier.
Now I can bring more of my girls out!
Photoshoots and sawing is not a pretty sight ^^
