Recently acquired at Amazon.co.jp with a cheap price tag, I present to you my 9th scaled figure, Djibril Zero (ジブリール・ゼロ).
As with most of my figures, I have no idea where or what she came from, but a simple google search yields the following information.

Anyway enough irrelevant information sharing. I’m sure the pictures will speak for themselves! I’m not too sure where to begin though. I took significantly less pictures than with most other figures, but I tried some new lighting formations!
I guess I should start with what the figure comes with. It comes with instructions on how to stick a metal rod into her right leg so that she will have that floating effect. Also in the box is a card that shows her character data. I guess I should have taken a picture of the flip side.
She’s 148cm, three-sizes are (B72/W53/H74), birthday on the 5th of October and blood type AB. Why would an angel need blood?
Anyway the I came across her while surfing the Flickr pool a couple of months back. When I saw her thumbnail, I thought she was a Nendoroid. She’s so cute in her scarf hugging pose.
Her body sculpt is very nice, as expected from Alter. Her body and muscles are very well articulated. Her leathery tight fit suit looks very real indeed. She reminds me very much of Rei in her plugsuit. Maybe Alter has so much practice from producing those that this is a piece of cake to them.
As you can see her pose is very nice and doesn’t take up too much space, unlike a certain guitar and sword wielding girl in my display cabinet. Maybe I should leave her out on my desk. Doesn’t take up too much space anyway!
Details, details, details…
Her outfit may be very simple and plain, but the details are really well done. Her shoes are adorable and her scarf has a very nice ‘flow’ to it. Her bottoms look really nice, don’t you think so?
I don’t really like her wings though, the plasticky look to it feels very uninspired.
Her halo is quite transparent and is obliterated by the strong lighting, but it has a yellow tint to it. Not a fan of plastic joints but I guess there’s no other way to give her a halo above her head. Wished they gave an option on remove the halo. I have a bad feeling that one day I’ll accidentally snap it off.
Also, as you can see, her oppai is only slightly bigger than Kyouka-sama’s one. Pales when I put her beside Moka :3

I have to say that I hate the blue transparent stand which I have conveniently not taken any pictures of. Instead, crumpled paper shall cover the ugly stand and give the figure a more cooler look (to me at least). Crumpled paper never looked so good.
and last but not least. Moka x Djibril.
There’s actually another special edition version of this figure which has a clothes transparent or something. Some how I still find the normal one better looking. Maybe I have a mentality that either you bare it all or you cover it all. Middle ground is just bad ^^.
As mentioned earlier, Djibril reminds me of Rei and Nagato and to a certain extent Nanael from Queen’s Blade. I was lucky to find this cheap on Amazon.co.jp. I guess the figure is not popular for some reason. This figure was released in November 2008, so it’s not that old either. Either way I’m happy that I’ve cleared something off my wishlist over at Tsukiboard!

I love her >w< One of the things that really struck me about her pose at first was that there was a lot of possibilities for having her sit on things, although she looks good floating too. I like what you did with the paper! I think it suits her quite well. My favorite shot is with the city lights in the back ^^ She is so cute!!
