Shooting at night

Narika is coming soon and I’ve decided that from now on, I’ll scrap doing scaled figure shots indoors because it’s just too boring and there are a few hundred figure enthusiast who would be doing the same thing with more awesome shots. As such I’ve been thinking where would be a nice place for Narika. I decided to check out a potential site last night and realised that my night skills are somewhat lacking, since I’ve done all my photography during the day or at home.

Long cycle ride to the site on scary deserted pavements such as these. There were more scary ones but obviously I was not brave enough to dismount from my bicycle to take pictures. Not that I believe in the presence of aliens, espers and time travelers and other stuff, but it better to be safe than sorry so I cycled at full speed through the forested areas.

The site would definitely ring a bell to the comrades who visited this burogu during it’s humble beginning days; comrade Snark and Hikky would be the name I instantly remember. I’m sure they are others too but put a blame to this aging memory of mine for not mentioning.

What irks me is that I probably spent a solid hour and a half taking and fine tuning each shot, and at the end of the day I only have 4 shots which I pass. Anyway as you can see, I brought my idolmaster stage 2 cuties for the shoot, since I figured that they would not have much camera time in this pink dress version as the casual clothes version are more favourable.

Yayoi and Haruka are my personal favourites and you’ll probably see more of them with mini-kyouka action this coming month of September. I really love them petit nendoroids and would have preordered Vocaloid Stage 2 if I had extra budget for the upcoming months. Luckily comrade Dcal-san is going to get them so I’ll at least get to see them in person, and hopefully steal them when she isn’t looking.

The other 3 are still as cute, even cute in their casual clothes form, especially Yukiho, who seems to be quite a favourite amongst people I talked with regarding them nendoroids.

And you know what’s the epic fail of this little night shoot exercise?

I brought drossel parts, even an extra battery, but forgot to bring her along. Pretty sure I’d have some more decent shots if I’d brought her along!
Sometimes I wonder why am I so absent-minded XD.
