The second figma for the month of August, and my first blue haired figure, figma 044 from the popular anime series, Lucky Star. It was probably an impulse buy since I actually got the figma because of Yutaka. But looking at the fun things I can do with Konata, I think that it probably was a great buy. Not to mentioned I ended up pre-ordering the other 3 summer school versions.

I only jumped into figma collection recently after my Drossel and Reika purchase. As a result of getting Drossel first, I’ve always commented to myself that all other figma boxes are just so small. The summer school uniform versions all come in a box of blue hue and fluffy clouds in the back ground. Would be better if the box wasn’t so small so I could use the fluffy clouds for some other photoshoots.

Konata’s face reeks of fun. I especially love the (=ω=) expression, which can clearly seen from my favourism to iDOLmaster petit Yayoi.

The summer uniform is just a blue hued, short sleeved winter uniform. I like the winter versions too and would love to get the Hiiragi twins winter version in the near future. What I like about the Konata figma is that it’s shorter than the rest of the other figmas, just like her character in the series. No idea why, but I like short things ^^

I’ve no complaints with the joints and all of them seem to be working fine. But everyone knows it will only be a matter of time before they start wearing off. I’ve also gotten pretty used to balancing her without her stand and she’s quite posable actually.

But if you need a stand, then the connector goes right into her hair.

You can cover it up with a long strand of hair which come inserted out of the box.

The strand of hair puts pressure though, which leaves a small mark behind.

She comes with another face which looks pretty serious. Too serious for my liking though. Doubt I’ll use it much. Maybe I should get the winter version one too have more facial expressions.

I love her ahoge. My ahoge is a little torn though, I have no idea why, but I think you should be able to remove it. I am too scared to remove mine since there’s a slight tear on it already.

Her skirt is very very flexible. Love this pose of her teasing with her skirt ^^.

Not too sure about the winter clothes version but the yellow ribbon on her uniform is very flexible, doesn’t seem removable though, so I don’t know why it was made to be flexible. But still, it’s a nice touch!

Konata also comes with Yutaka, her cousin. I love her expression too and she’s so adorable. She reminds me of nendo Rin because of her expression. Adorable indeed.

As usual, figmas and petit Nendoroids make a great picture. Now that I think about it, everyone seems to have carried Kyouka at least once ^^.

The Drossel helmet which is virtually never used by me finds itself being a prop for Yutaka.

Last but not least, the figma comes with stickers and an empty face to make your own face. It’s quite a chore making your own face and it definitely isn’t me cup of tea. The stickers are totally removable after you pasted them but they would have lost their stickiness and you can’t use them anymore unless you use glue or something.

Don’t make the same mistake as me and think that the face can me used for Yutaka. The empty face is a Konata face and will only fit with her hair. Before trying to make your own face, visit the figma blog for tips on how to do it properly. You don’t want to make a mess don’t you?
