The only pre-ordered scaled figure which I got in August from HobbySearch. Shihodo Narika is truly one of the prettiest figure out there. She’s red, has a nice pantsu view and most importantly she has fabulous twin tails which I totally digg. I don’t know the slightest thing about Beat Blades Haruka except it’s an eroge, but the beauty of this figure was too good to pass when I saw it up for preorder.
At first glance you’d notice the delicious twins that endow Narika. I’m referring to the awesome pink twin-tails of course. Well sculpted, something you’d expect from Alter. The sleeveless attire with the long gloves is much win for me as well.
Her combat attire comes with all sorts of bling blings attached to it, giving her a very mecha feel. Of course Alter does a great job on the little details everywhere.
Also, notice the pretty red and white scarf around her neck. Reminds you of a certain bounty hunter doesn’t it?
When her huge weapon isn’t attached, you can see her gorgeous bare back with a sexy ribbon. No, pulling the ribbon does not do anything sadly.
Our babe looks like this without anything attached.
You have to attach the bad-ass blade and pretty ribbon to her to complete the intended look.
The blade and ribbons are incredibly detailed.
Note: Water droplets are not part of the figure.
They were gotten from posing Narika in front of a mini waterfall.
I am not a fan of figures with massive eyes. I prefer them proportionate or DFC. As you can see, Narika’s tight fit attire is sculpted very well that you can see the “tightness” and the pupils of her eyes. Very nice indeed :3
She comes with a square base which is pretty uninspired considering how awesome the figure looks. Although I don’t like the base the damage which occurred to it was purely accidental. What damage you ask? You’ll find out soon enough.

Unfortunately placing Narika on the lighting caused the base to melt because the lighting was so hot ^^.
As darkness falls, more lights start to appear and it made pretty bokehs.
This has to be my favourite shot of the day.

Narika is an awesome figure. I can’t describe how delicious she looks with the red and pink combination and bad-ass weaponry. Alter really lives up to it’s name in making such great figure and I really had a great time photographing her. She looks great in every angle and is certainly a figure worth getting. I’m sure this babe is on par with the upcoming Saber Lily and Black Rock Shooter in terms of quality! Get yours today!
As for my damaged base, I’ll probably make a new base for Narika in another DIY project. Probably do some additional supports incase she decides to warp. Not too sure if her 1 legged pose can survive the Singapore heat!

Yeah, outdoor lights that are in public places typically run very very very hot. They’re more powerful than your typical under-light.
That’s a real shame man…
On another note, superb detail on the figure. Her gear is AWESOME! I was almost convinced to buy this, so now I’m sorta regretting it.
She melted my heart when I first saw her, just as how the base got melted :3

As usual, the pictures of her are some of the best on the internet. Every time I look at your pictures I curse my crappy camera because it really limits my photography abilities. I’m about to start saving up for a better one, but I need to figure out what I’m getting. What happened to her base is one of my biggest fears when taking figures outdoors in the Summer, luckily I’ve avoided any noticeable damage thus far, but it’s a very realistic possibility.
I’m sure that the summer heat isn’t as bad as the outdoor lights that melted my base ^^
On another note, getting a cheap DSLR like mine is pretty easy on the savings department. A D40 is such a great camera even with it’s low specs.

How do you like Haruka by Alter from Beat Blades Haruka as well? Did you consider buying her? ^^;
Technically I consider bases and figures separate so to me, my figure isn’t damaged.
A little background on why I got this figure, I saw Danny’s Haruka a long time ago and wanted her, did some searches and really liked Volk’s Haruka over Alter’s one. Wanted to get her but found no outlets and coincidentally the pre-orders opened for Narika at that time and I got her on impulse ^^

She is a lovely figure. Great quality, just as expected from the No. 1 (ALTER that is).

Darn dude, when I saw your base, I was like…errr wow the base is like carpet then later it hit me…no it’s not OMG! Reminded me of the time me and my friends needed to do fire shots on some of our figures, we played with zippo liquid and I didn’t know it was goin to hurt the figures more than it hurt us. Til not my friend isn’t happy whenever i mention about ‘zippos’. Well the shoots where nice but the figures had to suffer. XD
