I live in a little town called Yishun up at the northern part of Singapore for almost two decades already. Despite having lived here for such a long period, I’ve rarely explored the places around Yishun. Having some spare time, I decided to hop on my bicycle and cycle around the place to find interesting and possibly potential spots for future figure shoots.
The place which I ended up exploring was the park just behind the Masjid Darul Makmur Mosque.
Typically the flowers you always see around Singapore parks are these wild flowers. The brownish one is a weathered Dandelion and the yellow ones. The yellow ones probably have a cool name but I always call them mini-sunflowers.
I realised that my habits in photoshoots are very obvious. I’ll always start with figmas if I had any. It’s like a warm up phrase. This shot of Kagami in Drossel is one of my favourite amongst all the pictures I took. She’s waiting for someone. Could it be you?
Being a neighbourhood park there were definitely a lot of weird things which I haven’t seen despite going to nature trails pretty often. For example, this long shell of some plant is probably something I haven’t seen. I thought it was a huge worm when I saw it on the floor at first.
Ants are your best friends when you are close to nature. I don’t like ants, I always have the tendency to step on ant trails and end up jumping like a monkey to shake them off.
These small little white flowers are pretty common too, they are very very small though, perfect sizes for petits.
Frangipani flowers. Love them, they come in white or pink. Very pretty when they aren’t withered.
These red insects are also a first for me. Anyone knows what they are called? There are quite a lot of them and they can grow pretty big. Found them near the whitish cotton like things.
The cotton thingys originate from these huge fruits. No, I’m sure they aren’t edible.

I just think Kagami just looks so hot in Drossel’s armor. Makes me want to get the Lucky Star winter sch version figma for Kagami even more!
Once again, dumbfounded by weird plants.
Was a fun hour and a half exploring the place and blocking the jogging routes by sitting down and taking pictures. I’m sure I irritated quite a few joggers ^^. I can’t think of a figure that would fit into the place though, especially since I know where I’ll take the upcoming releases of Saber Lily, BRS and Sanya. Still have many places and mini-parks in Yishun I’ve yet to explore. Stay tuned for more!
I used to stay in Yishun.. That was the place I grew up in. Awww. I can’t really remember the places there anymore since I shifted when I was 6 years old
Yishun was probably a weird place when you were 6 years old. It still is weird and they are forever trying to build something here.

Which nendoroid is better in your opinion? Kureha or Seraphy? I found them both at the same price of 30 USD, and I’m wondering which one to get…(I’ll get both eventually, which one first? :3)

I’m actually surprised at all the insects you saw there. Those are some big ants! The black ants we have there are midgets compared to those. o_O
We have really small ants too. They bite a lot!
Singapore grass is so different from Canada grass. You guys get really short stubby grass that sorta spreads around. Canadian grass can grow into incredibly tall long blades of grass. It’s incredibly dense and requires frequent mowing.
Can I hide in them? >3
Nicu pics. looked up you location in google maps. Didn’t know there are actually suburban towns in Singapur. Though the whole island is one big town.. until now ^^;
