What a Beach

Had some free time today after one of my lessons, decided to meet up with comrade MavericK to kill time. Intended to do a figma only shot with Konata and Haruhi but guess who forgot to bring his figma? Ended up exploring the dirty side of Sembawang beach, which was pretty inaccessible. I was quite uninspired with all the shots since I wanted to do something with Konata.

What a Beach

One thing to note is that the flora and fauna are a but different from my typical adventures. I’ve seen many types of plants every since I started outdoor shooting with figures but I’ve found some new stuff today.

What a Beach

Beaches in Singapore aren’t the types you normally see on the telly. For Baywatch kinds, please visit Sentosa. The one which I went too is actually the northern coastline of Singapore, facing Malaysia.

What a Beach

I though of condom when I saw this.

What a Beach

Tree with red leaves, quite uncommon. No idea what they are called. Anyone?

What a Beach

Here are our trusty bikes, took quite a bit of effort reaching here since we had to ride over undulating paths. The other end of the shore is Malaysia. See how close we are?

What a Beach

Once again, I have no idea what this flower is. Kureha suits the image though. I admit I haven’t been bringing here or showcasing her loveliness in any of my recent pictures. Things will get tougher once this month additions of 4 nendoroids come. Maybe I should set aside groups. Like Monday I’ll only take pictures of say Maritans and Shana, Tuesday would be Rin and Kagami etc etc.

What a Beach

I really loved the sunset though, it was really warm and fuzzy. Which reminds me, I’ve yet to take Northwest and Northeastern sunsets yet. Any suggestions?

What a Beach

Guess who got washed up ashore? Yayoi is so cute!

Took a few shots of my #1 girl Haruhi. Though I rarely mention my likes and dislikes on entries, my most favourite character in ze world of anime has to be Haruhi. Actually the top 5 would be an easy guess if you notice my mentions of what I find appealling carefully! ^^

More figma002 Haruhi @ my Figure.fm post!

    We were there almost a year ago for a beach photoshoot. It was on a weekend too, but during the F1 I believe, and the group of us were all in agreement on the beach’s condition as well. Still some nice shots were taken, for an example you can look at my Mitsuki Hayase photoshoot.

    Northeast huh. I can see the sunrise and sunset from my house. But not fully, blocked by a few far buildings.

    i envy that you can just ride a bike to the beach.

    i live in the city and i would have to ride the bike for hours just to get to the nearest beach.

    Malaysia looks much nearer than I expected. Did Gekka get washed over from there? ^^;

    Kureha looks cute with everything I guess, nice close-up.

    Hopefully Haruhi didn’t step into some quicksand in the last pic xD

    Haruhi is one of my fav girls too and I only like 5: Rukia, her, Nagi, Konata and Torako.

    I wonder which side of Malaysia that is. I know I can see the shore of Singapore if I go to either Permas Jaya or Kampung Pasir Putih. From the looks of it, I guess that is the later.

    The flower with Kureha is a hibiscus. Not sure which kind though.

    Wow, so close to Malaysia!

    Not to mention, you always seem to be pretty close to all the places you take shoots at. About how far on bike is that beach from where you live? I only have a very small lake near where I live, and that’s still about 20 minutes away by bike (it doesn’t have a beach, either, haha… but there’s a small dam ). The next nearest lake (that’s much bigger – I live kinda close to the bottom of Lake Michigan, if you’d want to look up a map ) is about a half hour by car. I basically live by nothing. ^^;
