Hmmm… it’s difficult for me to say anything too certainly, the branch could be a fragment of some kind of blooming plant or the victim of a bacterial or pest infection. It looks a lot like it may have come from a palm (Rhopaloblaste sp.)… that’s probably my best guess ^^;

Love the picture with zetsubou sensei and the train… such a cute but sad mood!
