Nendo Travelogue 6

The Nendoroid Travelogue is back after a long break due to personal commitments on both Alafista and me. In this installment, we headed down to Bukit Batok nature reserve to experience some much needed nature after being deprived from it for a couple of weeks.

Travelogue 6

As usual there were many diverse plants and insects everywhere. I have taken a handful of pictures in the outdoors so I’ve seen quite a fair bit of plants and insects. However this plant was a first for me. It was the most fragrant smell, something like vanilla, but not quite like it. The smell attracts this fly and you can find them on almost every stalk.

Reflections

Anyway we headed down the quarry part of the area. The quarry has a huge water bed with the tall cliff facing us. It was pretty scenic, but Singapore Quarry was still bigger. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful sight. Alafista has better shots of the cliff side so check his entry out. 50mm has it’s limitations.

Travelogue 6

Nyoro-n?

A good choice to kick off the nendoroid pictures!

Travelogue 6

Domo is probably trying to tell Churuya-san that there isn’t any smoked cheese in the area.

Travelogue 6

Travelogue 6

The place had the most beautiful yellow flowers of different shapes and sizes. Yellow and white flowers have this fantastic glow when under the sun. Cooler colors like blue and purple are equally as pretty, but I personally think that they look best during the early morning or evening.

Travelogue 6

Water Skaters…

Travelogue 6

… and dragonflies. Red dragonflies are extremely common in Singapore. There are many places where you can find dragonflies and most of the time they are red in color. There are the silver and white variants but that’s all about it. I was expecting to see more types of insects, but I couldn’t find any spiders or wicked looking stick-insects.

Was commenting to Alafista that this place has significantly lesser insects and animals as compared to the other places I’ve been to. One good measuring stick would be the number of mosquito bites you collected.

Travelogue 6

Anyway the lack of insects and animals was compensated with many different types of plants.

Travelogue 6

The lone flower sticking out.

Travelogue 6

Being around green makes me happy for reasons. I like dirt and getting myself dirty. Climbing and crawling to hard to reach is also an exciting adventure. Nature is awesome.

Travelogue 6

Singapore maybe a concrete jungle but the pockets of green places such as nature reserves and parks is one’s escape from the urban environment which we see everyday.

Travelogue 6

Plants like this, makes you appreciate the beauty of greens.

Travelogue 6

Cute shroom!

Unfortunately she has some issues with cats.

Travelogue 6

Nyoro-n?

But Kyouka always gets her revenge in the end. Don’t trust that shocked look on her face. As if she didn’t bang Miku on purpose to expose her shimapanpan. And no, no smoked cheese in that place.

Travelogue 6

As usual, my post here is nature heavy. For more figure heavy nendoroid shots, visit my figure.fm post and Alafista.
This chapter is brought to you by Kyouka, Reimu, Miku, Yoshika and the nen-puchis.
