Travelogue 8 is here at last. Probably would be me and Alafista’s second last Travelogue as we approach the end of 2009. Pretty much a no brainer on the location of this outing and it we did not need to think so hard as to what we wanted to do for Travelogue 8 as compared to the others.
I’ve been to ION so many times ever since it opened and I still haven’t gotten bored of the water lights at the entrance yet. The last time I was here was when a certain trooper was dancing with some maids. There are more lights now and definitely a lot more people. Seems like everyone has a DSLR nowadays.
Either way this edition of the Travelogue can be called a Vocalogue since we brought out lots of puchis. In fact there are only nendo puchis today. Don’t know how many puchis I brought out, but it seemed like I brought out almost all that I have.
We met up in the early evening and I took some time to think how to pose the little ones. After thinking on the arrangement, it was time to move to the water displays for the real thing. Manage to do it before dusk so we waited for the sky to turn slightly darker.
Did not have space to squeeze all the puchis we brought. So some little ones got omitted out. We had 3 Kaitos even.
As you can see, Ojou-sama has a new leg rest and a nice comfy chair. Can’t wait for Winter Drossel and Nendo Drossel to arrive ^^
The lights were really pretty at as the sky turned dark. Lots and lots of lights.
Can never get tired of the water displays.
Always looks different every time I come.

A closer look at the family.
Comrade Scorch tagged along and I managed to see Nendo Mio. I like her guitar and the amp. Maid outfit Mio in the future maybe ^^
Spot the Domo.
After that family shot, we walked down the road and boy was it packed. Saw many interesting stuff along the way.
Santa gets all the girls. I bet Santa is a pedobear in disguise. Pedo-santa-bear would be a great combination.
My favourite idolmaster puchis.
ION at night with blue lights. Looks mesmerising.
Lighted all the way. The light never ends.
Miku loves the lights!
Everyone was snapping away. There were so many photographers everywhere. Old, young, big and puchi. From DSLRs to camera phones. Guess there’s something dazzling about the lights.
OCK strategically set up in the middle of the road. Long queues for hungry people.
There’s seriously no end to the crowd. I learned that where there’s light, there’s a crowd.
Makes you wonder, how much power is actually wasted to keep the lights on. Must be pretty energy draining.Maybe there are hamsters puchi Kyoukas on wheels powering up the whole place. Need an army of them though.
Sometimes, the most interesting decors are ones that don’t need lights.
It’s been a long time since I’ve walked down Orchard Road and looked at the stores. Some stores have very interesting stuff on display. Don’t know what’s that gear-windmill thing behind the mannequins.
I’m not the only one fascinated by the stuff on display. Seems like someone wants a new pair of shoes.
Singapore’s latest UNIQLO branch if I am not mistaken. Opened on my birthdate too ^^
Christmas crowds are really scary. Didn’t have much places to prop a nendoroid up and take pictures. Not to mention that being short means I can’t see much except people’s backs. Luckily there are places to climb and take an elevated shot.
T’was a tiring but fun walk. Wished there were lesser people but all’s good.
Behind the scenes
To end this off, I managed to do something extra and took some behind the scenes shots; Enjoy!
Bring lots of puchis is a gargantuan task. Needs proper carriers. Bought both from Daiso as usual and fitted the left one with dividers into it to create sections. Carries 14 puchis if I remember correctly.
Alafista hard at work. Going low is the way.
5D MK.II in action.
When Canon users are happy.
Taking the decor lights.
Wonder what Domo is looking for.

Wow dedication as usual.
I hope you didn’t block the way while you were shooting the shots though =P
Lots of people blocked my way >_<
so shiny. 0-0
so now Domo is going multicolor? that’s great.
Kodomut’s family photo ^_^
Partial family. Real one is huger!
lol dedicated, I would be like *hmm everyone is looking at me, blush*
My thoughts exactly! But the awesome photos shows that it pays off ^^
The look at what is being shot more that the person shooting actually ^^
Woah why you take photo of my big butt? LOL
;P Sexposed!
To cater for different reader demographics.
so difficult to find good carriers for puchis!
You haven’t seen the new Puchi carriers have you? =) They look like pokeballs. =D
tat one has the face exposed! imagine carrying a full puchi set of that too… lol
it’s a nice accessory x storage though
awesome stuff man…. i dislike Ion cause it uses so much electricity! Christmas lighting is indeed pretty but its extremely excessive!!!! Our environment is dying people!!! The earth is guna die!
I really need to find myself some fellow figure collectors in my town, going out to take awesome pictures like these seem really fun.
Another delivery of stunning pictures, will you be doing another set for Christmas?
I’m a coward when it comes to figure photoshoot, but landscape shoot is pretty normal.
