So anyway I hope you enjoyed the above 2 stories, not been updating for almost 3 days. Took lots of photos but never got around to process, upload and do write ups about them. 2009 is coming to an end there the library is filled with lots of fun-filled activities.

Was helping out with one during the week. It’s some bug event, so the kids learn about insects and then get their hand dirty making a ladybug out of craft materials.

It was a fun, yet messy activity. The glue and thin paper made sticky hands out of everyone. Fun word of the day “STICKY MONSTER” ^^

No, the girl on the left isn’t a very big kid, she’s one of the helpers who were at the event too. Almost all the helpers / volunteers that I see around the library are secondary school kids clocking their CIP hours, all girls too. ^^;

Besides that, I still have my regular weekly storytelling sessions.

This week is the last week of the year for my to tell stories to the adorable kids

I started in January this year, after a crash course last year in November. It all started out as a source of time killing. Little did I know I’d get to enjoy the sessions so much!

It pays to go out there and explore stuff, you ‘ll never know what you might enjoy if you don’t try out as many stuff as possible.

Since Christmas was approaching, the library had a well-wishing event

Also in the earlier part of the week, I managed to catch up with my Army mates for dinner and to celebrate birthdays at the same time. We went to this hotpot/stemboat buffet called Crystal Jade.

They had the awesomenest 小龙包  (xiao long bao)

For the uninitiated, 小龙包 are these small dumplings which is a skin wrapping with a meaty filling and a soupy soup thing within. Oozes out when you put the whole thing in your mouth.

Fresh and yummy prawns. I love prawns.
