It’s been ages since I’ve attended any figure meetings with the WLNF people and I managed to set aside my late afternoon today to catch up with them even though I am still pretty tired from lessons and much needed sleep. As with any meet ups, I get to take pictures of figures which I don’t have and it’s always fun since I get to handle figures which I don’t normally do.

We spent the better half of the time in a maid cafe in some dodgy part of Singapore which I have already forgotten. We were a pretty sizable group and our noise dominated the store most of the time. The maids were not tsundere mode so they did not kill us for making so much noise. They were pretty friendly and chatted with us about our figures too.

The maid cafe is called Akibanana and they have a mascot which looks better than the bananas in pajamas.

Comrade Dcal brought her new Azone doll along and she came with this cute little white hat thing. Fits Drossel perfectly. Drossel must be wondering what’s this soft fluffy thing on her head ^^;

I took quite a fair bit of nendoroid Drossel pictures since I only brought her, puchi miku and Tako Lukas. Drossel and the Tako Lukas look pretty darn nice together. The Tako Lukas were a great purchase! Gave one away to comrade Dcal for her valiant efforts in securing a Jigsaw puzzle for me during her recent pilgrimage to Japan.

Drossel spotted kissing the guest book for the maid cafe. Lots of pretty illustrations from partons within, didn’t take a picture though. Drossel looks so adorable kissing the heart!@

Drossel decides to grow an extra pair of heads to form a pseudo heart for you. 10 points for effort but looks pretty scary.

Snacks at the place includes stuff like this. Pretty yummy.

One of the best things about nendoroid Drossel are her huge eyes that can be lit up, which is pretty useful for shots like this is horrible lighting. The thing that she stares become illuminated and it helps a lot.

How’s this for scary also?

I always thought that Drossel (both the nendo and the figma) would look good with hair, just need to find the correct wig for her.

Face palm?

The hand is from Dcal’s pretty little Azone doll. This is the >o< Tako Luka. The one which I gave her is the drooling one in the background. I generally prefer the normal one, though it can be argued that each has their own uses depending on the situation.

GSC needs to make more charms like this of just faces. I need a @_@ Miku face.

The fish thing which they served at the cafe were absolutely delicious, and the best thing is that I know the recipe after the kind maids described the process. I shall attempt to make it sometime next week.

The only complaint I have is that the light should have been brighter. Taking pictures was a pain. I’ve been lazy lately, would rather pump up the ISO than to use my gorilla pod. Irony is that I use the pod when there’s light when I’m outdoors, thought the gorilla pod actually is used as a first line of defense to prevent my camera from being bashed up when I prone, does that function pretty well!

I need sleep now, been a long day and it is still a long day ahead later. Lots of stuff to do and tuition to conduct. Hope you enjoyed Nendo Drossel!
