As some of you might know, I love cats, figures, photography, sleep, alcohol, band hero and tea. But I think only a handful know that I really love children.
I mentioned it before almost more than a year ago, on a totally random post about my involvement with the library.
It has almost been two full years since I’ve started helping out the library with their kiddy programs and it’s been one of the most fun and fulfilling things I’ve started on.
For the uninitiated, I do regular storytelling on a weekly basis, every Thursdays at the local library (though I’d have to take a break soon and re-continue in the month of August)
But during the school holidays, the library organises craft programs for the kids and I’ll go down to help with the craft and most importantly, crowd control!
Trust me, kids don’t look this focus and obedient half the time.
They will try to do all sorts of dangerous things like putting scissors into their mouths, glue their hair to their hands and smell that aromatic smell resonating from marker pens.
Despite all the crazy thing they do, kids are really awesome and their smiles are priceless.
The best part is that conversing with a kid is extremely fun. They have a totally different outlook in life which adults lose as they grow up.
They also have the greatest ideas and aren’t afraid to look ‘stupid’. Something which we could re-learn.
It’s good to be young and make all the mistakes you can make.
And kids have this unlimited source of energy that never seems to run out. Which I could have that too!
So anyway, they were making this snake craft the day before. 1.5 hours of madness indeed. It too me 6 hours to paint and prepare the materials though.
Had the coolest looking hand ever from all the preparation.
But it’s all worth it at the end of the day! ^^

Dawwwwwww. Nice photos.
What camera do you use btw?
Nikon D90, most of the photos were taken with a 50mm f/1.8 prime, some were taken with the 18-55mm kit zoom lens
Kiddies! Awesome to see you’re helping out in your free time ^^
You could learn everything about kids in a month and they still could surprise you!
Here’s the shutter spam!! D=
Its amazing that when we grow older, we shed off stuff that we do as a kid.
I look back and laugh at the silly things I used to do
Don’t worry, you are still doing silly things like putting boxes over your head!
the color tone is good.. d90 with 50mm f1.8 is not bad..that’s like L lens at canon.. love it
