Zoom Out

After Sch Tea Time

For a shot of Mugi, there’s lots of painting involved. Occasionally people ask about stuff in my photoshoots. I’ve been blessed to be able to find tine nendoroid sized accessories during my shopping sessions which come in handy. But there are times when I can’t buy due to lack of funds or there’s no existence of the thing which I want.

When you can’t find it, then make it!

Mike Stand

Behind the Scenes

I got questions regarding how the mike stand was made. For those sharp eyed, it’s just TOOTHPICKS.

Behind the Scenes

Mike itself was a broken piece of puchi stand that I keep. I love hoarding broken stuff. Got a serious hoarding complex.

Behind the Scenes

Splash some white paint and some grey paint and looks pretty decent!

Behind the Scenes

Styrofoam for the big ass subwoofer seen around most shots.

Behind the Scenes

It actually looks terrible so I purposely bokeh-ed it out.

けいおん!

Nice concealment!

Club Room

Behind the Scenes

1 word : Cardboard.

Behind the Scenes

Lemon Tea help lots too.

Behind the Scenes

Windows get cut out.

Behind the Scenes

To make the window panes, I used tracing paper to give it the opaque feel.

Last but not least, all these would not have been possible without food!!!!

…that sky backdrop….it looks familiar…………reminds me of LS for some reason

Anyway, how much time do you spend per photoshoot? That looks like a lot of work.

      kodomut08-23-2010

Depends, some are really fast, especially those that don’t require painting. Shooting is really fast, making the backdrops varies. Placement backdrops where there’s a few random objects scattered around are really quick too.

Yes, sky comes from LS figma box

Creative as usual, you sure are good in arts and craft.

Anyway i have a question bout camera lenses, does different lenses effect the shutter speed?

    • kodomut
      kodomut08-23-2010

Different lenses can have different max aperture sizes which will affect the shutterspeed you use to take a picture.
For example, some lenes can have really huge apertures so you can use faster shutter speeds in lower light as compared to a lenes that doesnt have such a huge aperture.

My stage was originally intended to be made out of icecream sticks, but I got lazy trying to find places that sell them. Maybe you could try using icecream sticks!
