Lack of updates and diorama making and shooting because I’m spending my day hours at the library and the night skiving off playing Warcraft 3 standard games whist everyone else is playing Starcraft 2.
Why the day hours at the libraries you ask. Well it’s the 1 week Q3 term break and the library always organises Art and Craft sessions for the kids so that they will not die of boredom or fry their eyes in front of the computer or telly.
It’s always fun to help out at these sessions and it’s a refreshing break from storytelling. At least I’ve time to whip out my camera while they are busily engrossed in their craftwork, can’t do that when I’m storytelling.
The craftwork always involves something to be learned. This week’s one is about gravity, so there’s a short introduction on gravity to 4 -8 year olds. I wonder if they actually remember the stuff on the slides. And after the boring talk it’s downto coloring, cutting and messy gluing, depending on the craft demanded.
This holiday’s craft is making “a clown that cannot fall”, it’s basically those things that have a circular base and no matter how much you push it, it always comes back up.
She’s supposed to be paying attention!
Natasha, always see her on holiday craft sessions. Everytime I see her, she’s still missing her 2 front teeth. Never seems to grow back.
The fun thing is that every kid’s clown is different, they don’t follow a set pattern and just let their creativity and imagination flow. I think if you ask a bunch of adults to color, most of them will have red noses and red hair and some yellow here and there, like a Mr Ronald McDonalds. Sure is awesome watching kids work!

I was expecting one or two Ronald McDonalds lol :X
Ran Ran Ru!
In your pictures they seem to have more orange colour noses.
Love the kids. They are so creative
so you just voluntery works there or ?
