The story goes like this: A long time ago, someone must have taken a dollfie against a delicious creamy bokeh-ed background and found out that the picture turn out really smooth and nice. Few months later, everyone started to do the same. Dollfie, just like figures, need more than a deliciously creamy bokeh in their background. Pictures need to tell a story. I think most dollfie owners treat their dollfies like those models you see on magazines, which is why 75% of the pictures of them are like a model shoot with them just randomly posing to the camera. I like interaction.
Unfortunately, dollfies are huge, godzilla sized compared to nendos. Almost impossible to pose with their limited arcs of movement. And not to mention the owner constantly glaring down on me to make sure I don’t break any joints, which I do all the time with nendoroids. But despite all that, it was fun taking something other than a nendoroid. Would experiment more when the owner of this pretty Mari decides to let me snap her again.

Certainly would agree with your statement.
Most Dollfie owners treat them like golden statues (well given their costs, I’d say that’s justified) making them very apprehensive towards 3rd party interaction and “doing stuff out of the box”. Which is extremely boring from a photographic point of view.
And given the body type, the joints may not be very co-operative to posing, quite unlike figmas.
Dealing with them really does require some different approaches.
Wait for 5 more years, when I get one ^^
@_@ i’m watching you!!! XD
When you fall asleep……
