This post refers to the making of the BRSxDM photoshoot which you can find here!
Honestly, I started out not knowing what to do after making and taking the Dead Master shots over the weekend. I originally wanted to make a diorama just for Black Rock Shooter and I spent 2 days just mucking around trying to get some ideas and inspiration. In the end, still not knowing what to do, I took a checkered pattern which chicken-kun painted and touched it up a little.
I still have no idea why I cut a hole in the ground ^^; Never did expand on this idea in the end. I rarely plan what I do and just “go with the flow’ most of the time and I actually prefer to develop idea as I go along. That means that there are a handful of ideas that never see the light of the day too.
So at the end of the day, decided that BRS looked too plain by herself and I threw in Dead Master. I don’t know if I’ve said this somewhere before but I really like this version of Dead Master.
Dead Master strangulating BRS is some fantasy that I’ve always had.
I actually prepared everything in the day and I normally take shots at night so I actually waited for nightfall.
Somehow waiting for night to fall could have been a bad idea because it was pretty hard to get the lighting right at night and it was actually fine in the day. But oh well, learned something new which is what experience is all about!
The holes were probably the most fun part to make. It was just stabbing and stabbing and stabbing.
It’s amazing what small details like these holes bring to the picture.
Overall I’m still pleased, learned so much new tricks making and taking this diorama. One can only improve right? ^^;
Probably want to take a break from scaled figure shooting and go back to nendoroids where the only frustrating part is finding their parts and getting them to balance. Got to finish the long overdue DD Mami project and take some pictures!

Lol So I guess the “chicken-kun” thing is for real/here to stay XDD?
