Lately the rain has been working overtime for the whole week. For the times where it decides to go on a break, I am unable to go snapping due to other plans made prior to the day. Recently I’ve been cramming as much things as possible within a week and I am amazed by how time efficient a little planning can do. Truth be told, I realised how much time I’ve wasted and how inefficient and unproductive I was the past few years.
Getting Beatrice (the dollfie) has rekindled my love for outdoor photography. For those who miss the nendoroid shots, fret not, they will return soon! As I was saying, taking Beatrice outdoors and everywhere is pretty fun. Initially, during the first week when I got her, I was pretty irritated with the size of dollfies, they are a pain to carry around. But thankfully, after a few bouts of travelling, I managed to devise a system that doesn’t take away my mobility even with 2 camera bodies and 3 lenses.
I value mobility when it comes to bringing figures outdoors. Back in the day when I only took figmas and nendoroids, they were pretty easy to carry around. Most of them time when I take outdoor shoots I’d usually have a partner and I’d usually just throw my stuff somewhere and do my shots. But nowadays I go on solo exploratory journeys with Beatrice, hence the need to have everything on me most of the time.
Beatrice is a real charmer.
For those who don’t like dollfies, I’m sorry! More nendoroid pics soon I promise!
On a side note, I really love the circle line! Can’t wait to alight at Hort Park next week!

Nice photos. Wish there’d be some great spots like that near where I live to do some DD shooting but alas.
I’m sure there is! Just got to find them! ^^
You were there yesterday also? I was lost in another part of the garden (my last visit was like 10 years ago…lol) The garden really changed a lot and so many visitors @_@, by the time I manage to find myself to the main stage already 6+.
For me I first choose Azone PN as they are much smaller to travel with (but already can’t resist and ordered my DD Saber @_@). Shooting dolls really not easy, the gears alone already pose a mobility problem (I carry 2 tripods for night shoots), and have to avoid sudden kids trying to be “friendly” with her. Thinking of posing them is really a total different challenge when compare to PVCs.
Yeah, I was there from 4 to 5. I go there quite often and I took the circle line in instead of the usual Tanglin gate. The circle line entrance is quite pathetic as compared to Tanglin gate. Everything there looks like it’s under development!
On the other note, I look fierce and scary so kids stay away from me!
Love that b/w photo. what lens ja use?
