Sometimes, the best ideas come when you are hungry. I’m always hungry at nights so nights are the best time for inspiration and such. So as I wanted to cook supper for myself, I came up with the evilest abusive idea.

Yes, Kitchen Stove = blue flames = LOVE.
Damm, everything look good with blue flames. I’m sure they would look good IN blue flames too but I’m not drunk enough to set her on fire.

Vrooommmm!

A little unknown secret is that I actually cool figures in the freezer after they heat up. Ah, the freezer top most compartment looks good doesn’t it. It actually does and it’s the perfect solution to my diorama problem. Stay tuned!

This was the original BRS custom stand I made. I actually used an old nendoroid stand peg as a gauge for the hole size for BRS’s support rod. I actually think that Saber looks good in this stand. After all, GSC’s scaled Saber Lily used a checkered stand too. Maybe I should just make a stand like this for her when everything is over.

One may ask how the hole was made. The most obviously and simplest reason is a drill, and a drill it is. This drill is actually a secret weapon of mine. I had it since the dawn of time and I’ve used to to create lots of interest solutions to lots of stupid problems. For example, when pliers don’t work for that 2% of the time on next joints, I’ll just drill the broken part to oblivion. Interestingly I’ve only had to drill that way once. I probably have 20+ broken neck joints. h#mce_temp_url# can testify to that. The drilled nendoroid face is my most precious one.

Magic numbers are 1.1, 2.9, 3.5 and 3.7

Unfortunately when comrade Zh3us kindly lent me his BRS, it was to my shock and horror that the curvy stand thingy as you can see here uses the figma sized connections. Had to redrill and remove the pieces of glass… めんどくさい！ But I guess it’s all worth it. I like the new curvy stand thing. Only disadvatange is that all nendoroids from now on will have random holes on their back. I hate holes.

TA DAHHHHH!!!!!!

I work at night on this table if the main table gets too messy or I can’t stand the boredom so I’ll watch it with some shows. As you can see, I’m making a chessboard to play chess with. Oh my room was packed just few hours before this, it’s normall not this habitable for normal humans.

Look at that, a nice hand painted checkered pattern. I’m not going to do that again, waste of time. Going to hire people to do it for me, I’ll need a couple more.

Pretty proud of this one! I’m sure it doesn’t need much explanation. I also realised that I need an eraser. I don’t have one.

So anyway, I was typing stuff halfway when I noticed a very fragrant smell. Came from the super glue that was left uncapped. SO MUCH WASTED GLUE!!!!

How the main desk look like now. I actually like my messy desk. I call it wonderland. Can only think of ideas when I’m at the desk. Lots of magical stuff around.

Oh, wonder what I’m working on.

SEPTEMBER is here at last, I love my nendoroid calendar. If there was a fire and I can’t save my plastic nendoroids, I’ll at least save my calendar. It was a gift from Danny-san for those wondering! Haven’t thanked him for other stuff yet, working on something magical for him though. hohoho!

Pens, pencils, knives, rulers, glue, brushes. Double sided tape also; Secret weapon.

When my BRS arrives, I’m going to convert the rock cannon to a keychain. Looks good with my keys.

My favourite hairband broke again, need to super glue it back.

A new brand of super glue I’m trying out. Smells better then Selley’s but the power can’t really compare to Sellys but it’s also much cheaper. I used to for the mirrors for the custom BRS stand!

Anyway that’s how the stand was made. Intended to do the second phrase of figma BRS shoot today but I did not complete the diorama yet. So much painting required ):

I always imagine a PEW PEW PEW sound whenever I see her carrying the Rock Cannon.

She actually lazer beamed the fonts out using her awesome eye.

That’s all for day one. Handling the nendoroid is really easier than the figma. Only complain I have is there’s no bendy left arm. Either that or I ate it up.

20 pictures of smoke, only one decent one. Need to find easier ways to control smoke with 2 hands.

Not fun taking figmas; 100 times harder to balance than nendoroids. Luckily I watched the PILOT and decided to chain her up. Was easier that way. Tomorrow, its nendoroid BRS turn to get tied up.

In case you missed it, I actually added a line on the previous Snow Miku post to explain the last picture. Obviously I wouldn’t have purposely posted a powdered face Miku for no reason. I thought it wasn’t rocket science to figure out that the last picture of the figure.fm post that was linked at the end would have easily explained it but apparently my train of thought was too complicated.

I actually want to convey the message that getting the shot wasn’t as easy since the face was powdered totally most of the time. So I guess I’ve to type more words to explain pictures.

Anyway back to today’s post, was trying out a new experiment so I decided to use a mixed body.

I actually have a ton of little props and I never thought that I could make an outdoor setting with the flowers and bushes. I mean there’s flowers and bushes outdoors so the thought never crossed my mind. But it was kind fun to make these scenes out because they were pretty much to scale; The roads, paths, flowers, fences and grass outdoors are always too tall, too thick, too high, too covered to actually get the shot that looks right in terms of size. I like my shots to give the viewer that they are not looking at 15cm plastic toys, although I know that there are some photographers who prefer the opposite.

“Tako-chan!!! Don’t pluck the flowers!”

I actually like the colors of the pictures here, reminds me of the Summer Wars poster somehow. Very artificial, but a refreshing change from the light I get from the travelogues. So has anyone figured out what experiment was carried out? I doubt that anyone can figure it out actually. Probably only those whom I’ve shown certain pictures of my crazy abuse to nendoroids might figure it out and go “Ah ha!”

“If you pluck the flowers and destroy this nice place, I’ll pluck your tentacles and feed you to the Domo-kuns!”

Azusa looks good in this mixed outfit doesn’t she? A summer cap, a red bag; I actually wanted to white ribbon her hair but I couldn’t find any white ribbon. Maybe I’ll do it in another post. Azusa actually belongs to comrade Alafista, I borrow lots of nendoroids to get abused actually. I only buy those that I plan to really really abuse what involves drilling, burning, dropping.

By the way, Azusa’s neck joint broke during the shoot.

And that’s the end of the show, experiment successful. In case someone asks, and I actually predict someone might ask; YES, the lens flare in the first picture is photoshopped.

So recently I made a trip to ART FRIEND to restock on some supplies and get some stuff for some upcoming Dioramas and figure shoots.

A star!

Not just any star, but a checkered star. It actually looks 100 x better than the photo. For some reason the reflective surface looks weird on photo.

It was 2 am or 3 am in the morning when I did this. We all make mistakes, especially when there’s a lack of sleep.

Correction underway.

Merging.

Looks messy.

Looks messier.

I don’t have nendoroid BRS yet. My estimates SAL will reach me in about 3 weeks so check back then. Until that happens, we have Saber Lily to use the new stand.

Anyway the whole thing isn’t completed yet. More debris to add, more touching up to the painted checkered surface and more METAL!!!! And I still need to drill a hole into the STAR to slot in the plastic stand holder. Perhaps add some bluish lights here and there. Time and resources will dictate how much I can do! Good luck to me!

Lately many many things around me have been breaking down. Nendoroids and figure have been breaking since day one so that’s a norm. However my Macbook decided to join the fray this week. The harddisk decided to die overnight. There was a PSP death also.

Project Diva IRL might look something like this.

Have many figure breakages to fix actually. Been procrastinating the gluing since the dawn of time.

Speaking of which, I’m actually running out of glue. Need to restock soonish.

Anyway my Mum being awesome decided to swap her MBP with my MB after switching the dead HD. Faster is better!
Got to clear up the mess after I get home and work on a photoshoot which I actually intended to do yesterday but was busy getting my MBP to work!
